Why Buy Structural Sections from Turkish Mills?

Turkey is one of Europe’s largest steel producers, with integrated mills operating BOF and EAF furnaces at scale. Turkish structural sections offer EN-certified quality at 10–20% lower cost than equivalent Western European mill output, with competitive lead times of 2–4 weeks to most global destinations.

  • EN 10034 / EN 10279 / EN 10056 compliant — CE marking available
  • Mill test reports (MTR) with full chemical and mechanical analysis
  • Grades: S235JR, S275JR, S355JR/J2 — ASTM A36 equivalent available
  • Standard mill lengths (6 m / 12 m) or cut-to-size per your project
  • Full export documentation: packing list, certificate of origin, bill of lading
  • Consolidated shipments available — combine multiple section types in one container

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between IPE and HEA beams?

IPE (I-Profile European) beams have narrow flanges relative to their height, making them efficient for bending in the strong axis — ideal for floor beams and secondary structural members. HEA (also called IPBL) beams have wide flanges with a more square cross-section profile, providing better resistance to buckling and bending in both axes — preferred for columns and heavy primary beams. For the same nominal height, HEA is heavier and stiffer than IPE.

What steel grades are available for structural sections?

Standard grades available are S235JR, S275JR, and S355JR/J2 per EN 10025. S355 is the most commonly requested for load-bearing structures due to its higher yield strength (355 N/mm²). ASTM A36 equivalent and high-strength grades (S420, S460) are available on request with longer lead times.

Can I order sections in custom lengths?

Yes. Cut-to-size service is available for all section types. Standard mill lengths are 6 m and 12 m. Custom lengths from 1 m upward can be arranged, with cutting tolerances per EN ISO 2768-m. Custom cutting is included in the quote — no separate fee.

Do you provide mill test certificates?

Yes. Mill test reports (MTR/MTC) are provided with every shipment as standard, including EN 10204 3.1 certificates showing full chemical composition (C, Mn, Si, P, S, etc.) and mechanical test results (yield strength, tensile strength, elongation, impact toughness). EN 10204 3.2 inspection by a third party can be arranged on request.

What is the minimum order quantity for structural sections?

We process inquiries of any size — there is no minimum for a quote request. For international shipments, practical minimums are typically 5–10 tonnes for LCL (groupage) and 20+ tonnes for full container load (FCL). For smaller quantities, we can consolidate with other section types into a single shipment to keep freight costs reasonable.

Do you supply galvanized or coated structural sections?

Hot-dip galvanized angles and channels are available in standard sizes for corrosion-exposed applications (outdoor structures, agricultural buildings, coastal environments). Epoxy or zinc-rich primer coating can also be arranged. Galvanized IPE and HEA beams are available in selected sizes — please specify in your quote request.
