Roof & Facade Profiles — C Purlin, Z Purlin, Omega & Hat from Turkey

Steeling.net supplies cold-formed steel roof and facade profiles — C purlins, Z purlins, Omega sections, and Hat profiles — directly from Turkish manufacturers. Used in steel-framed buildings, warehouses, and industrial halls. Available in multiple gauges to EN 10162. Free for buyers, fast quote.

Cold-formed roof and facade profiles are thin-wall steel sections used as secondary structural elements in steel-framed building envelopes. C and Z purlins span between primary rafters to support roof sheeting; Omega and Hat profiles are used as cladding rails and fixing channels. Turkey has a well-developed cold-formed steel industry supplying these profiles to construction markets worldwide.

Profile Types We Supply

C Purlin (C Section)

Single-span roof purlin with C-shaped cross-section. Standard profile for light-to-medium span steel buildings.

  • Height: 100 mm to 300 mm
  • Wall: 1.5 mm to 3.0 mm
  • Standard: EN 10162
  • Grade: S235 / S355 / DX51D galvanized

Z Purlin (Z Section)

Continuous-span purlin allowing lap-joint connections at internal supports — better material efficiency for longer spans.

  • Height: 140 mm to 300 mm
  • Wall: 1.5 mm to 3.0 mm
  • Standard: EN 10162
  • Grade: S235 / S355 / DX51D

Omega Profile

Hat-shaped profile (open at back) used as cladding rail, batten, and secondary fixing element in wall and roof cladding systems.

  • Width: 40 mm to 100 mm
  • Wall: 1.5 mm to 2.5 mm
  • Available pre-punched or plain
  • Grade: S235 / galvanized DX51D

Hat Profile (Top Hat)

Symmetrical top-hat section (open at bottom). Used as framing channel, batten, and structural support in wall partitions and cladding.

  • Width: 40 mm to 150 mm
  • Wall: 1.5 mm to 3.0 mm
  • Pre-punched fixing holes available
  • Grade: S235 / DX51D galvanized

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between C purlin and Z purlin?

C purlins have a symmetric C-shaped cross-section and are used as simple-span elements — each bay is a separate piece. Z purlins have an asymmetric Z-shaped cross-section that allows overlapping at intermediate supports, creating a continuous-span effect. Z purlins are more material-efficient for longer spans (typically over 6 m) and are the preferred choice for large industrial buildings. C purlins are simpler to install and work well for shorter spans.

What steel grade are C and Z purlins typically made from?

Most C and Z purlins are manufactured from S235 or S355 structural steel (EN 10025). Pre-galvanized versions use DX51D+Z (EN 10346) base material with a zinc coating applied during rolling. Hot-dip galvanized versions (EN ISO 1461) are also available for more demanding corrosion environments. S355 grade is recommended for longer spans and higher load applications.

Can purlins be supplied with pre-punched fixing holes?

Yes. Pre-punched C and Z purlins with standard bolt hole patterns (typically 12 mm or 14 mm holes at 200 mm or 250 mm centres) are available. Custom hole patterns to your structural drawing can also be produced. Pre-punched sections reduce fabrication time on site — specify your hole pattern when requesting a quote.
